Scope of Service

Insight Neurodevelopment provides independent specialist assessments for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

Unless specifically stated, the service does not provide:

• Emergency psychiatric care
• Ongoing psychiatric management
• Psychological therapy
• Crisis intervention
• Inpatient care
• Medication prescribing

Any recommendations contained within an assessment report should be considered alongside advice from the patient’s usual healthcare professionals.

Diagnostic Assessments

Assessment outcomes are based on the information available at the time of assessment, including information provided by the individual and, where appropriate, informants or supporting documentation.

A diagnosis cannot be guaranteed.

Acceptance of Private Reports

Assessment reports are prepared independently by a GMC-registered Consultant Psychiatrist.

Acceptance of private assessment reports by NHS organisations, GPs, employers, educational institutions, local authorities, or other organisations is determined by their own policies and cannot be guaranteed.
