Cancellation and Refund Policy

1. Introduction
This Cancellation and Refund Policy explains how cancellations, rescheduling, and refunds are managed at Insight Neurodevelopment Clinic (“we”, “us”, or “our”).
We provide online-only ADHD and Autism (ASD) assessments for individuals in the United Kingdom. We do not provide treatment, prescribing, or ongoing clinical care.
By booking an appointment with Insight Neurodevelopment Clinic, you agree to the terms outlined in this policy.
2. Booking and Payment
All appointments must be booked in advance.
Payment is required at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Your appointment is confirmed once payment has been successfully received.
3. Cancellation by Clients
If you wish to cancel your appointment, you must notify us as soon as possible.
Refund eligibility depends on the amount of notice provided:
- More than 14 days’ notice: Full refund (minus any administrative or transaction fees where applicable).
- 7–14 days’ notice: 50% refund may be issued.
- Less than 7 days’ notice: No refund will normally be provided.
These timeframes reflect the allocation of clinical time and administrative preparation reserved for your assessment.
4. Rescheduling Appointments
We understand that circumstances may change.
- You may request to reschedule your appointment with at least 7 days’ notice, subject to availability.
- Requests made with less than 7 days’ notice may incur a rescheduling fee.
- Failure to attend a scheduled appointment without notice will be treated as a cancellation and no refund will be issued.
We will always try to accommodate reasonable requests to reschedule where possible.
5. Late Attendance and Non-Attendance
If you are late for your appointment, the clinician may not be able to extend the session beyond the scheduled time.
If you do not attend your appointment and have not provided prior notice, the appointment will be recorded as a “Did Not Attend (DNA)” and no refund will be issued.
6. Cancellation by the Clinic
In rare circumstances, Insight Neurodevelopment Clinic may need to cancel or reschedule an appointment due to:
- Clinician illness or unavailability
- Technical or system failures
- Circumstances beyond our reasonable control
In such cases, you will be offered:
- A full refund, or
- An alternative appointment at a mutually convenient time
We will always aim to provide as much notice as possible.
7. Assessment Reports
Fees for assessments include clinical time, administrative work, and preparation of your written report.
Once clinical work has commenced, including review of questionnaires or assessment materials, refunds may not be issued.
If part of the service has already been delivered, refunds will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
8. No Treatment Services
Insight Neurodevelopment Clinic provides assessment services only.
We do not provide:
- Medication prescribing
- Ongoing psychiatric care
- Therapy or counselling
- Crisis or emergency support
Refunds are not provided on the basis of dissatisfaction with treatment outcomes, as no treatment services are offered.
9. Refund Processing
Where a refund is approved:
- Refunds will be processed to the original payment method.
- Processing times may vary depending on your bank or payment provider (typically 5–10 working days).
10. Exceptional Circumstances
We recognise that exceptional situations may occur (such as medical emergencies or bereavement).
In such cases, please contact us as soon as possible. We may, at our discretion, offer:
- Full or partial refunds, or
- Rescheduling without additional charge
Each case will be reviewed individually and compassionately.
